Andrew’s knowledge in the use of LiDAR systems is expansive and started when LiDAR systems were only very new in Australia. Spatial Collect operates a Revolution 120 laser scanner from LiDARUSA. This small yet powerful scanner provides exceptional results that outperform’s any other scanner in its class. Mounted to the Innoflight Andrometer drone, Spatial Collect can capture accurate survey grade data with minimal control targets. Laser scanners unlike photogrammetry have quick processing turn around time’s and produce higher density point clouds. Higher density point cloud are a game changer when scanning areas with think vegetation. Density becomes a key feature when filtering point cloud’s to produce Digital Terrain Models.

Spatial Collect’s innovative work has been taken to a new level by developing Lidar and GIS systems for accurate and effective asset management of roads. Recently Spatial Collect developed a software solution called Road Recon. Road Recon is an innovative software solution for rapid assessment of road condition which accumulates into quick transitions from pickup to finalized scoping.

Over an 8 year period Andrew was responsible for asset management services for a Townsville based Project Management Company. During this period Andrew has developed rapid collection, assessment, and submission process’s for disaster recovery funding arrangement programs. Shortened time frames from Disaster to Submission by 50% from previous claims processes. Andrew has been entrusted to deliver DRFA-funded outcomes for restoration works in North Queensland in excess of AUD$250 million during this period.

Spatial Collect is available to travel anywhere in Australia or New Zealand to undertake scanning works. For local government Spatial Collect can be procured under the Local Buy panel for Asset Management Services.
